While investigating what it would take to use some new HashCheck screenshots with alpha transparency on this website, I devised a new approach to addressing the MSIE 6 PNG alpha transparency problem. Unlike many of the other solutions that have been floating around on the web, this approach is lightweight and easy to apply, and, most importantly, it preserves image semantics.
